As we do not really need to review a plug adaptor (as we all know what they do), we thought it would help you more by letting you know the plug type for the following safari destinations in Africa, in alphabetical order. Please find the list below, but always double check with your safari lodge regarding their set up as this is a general guide:

Botswana: 230 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. Two plug types - South African type plug with three round pins, arranged in a triangle; and UK type plug with two parallel flat pins with ground pin.
Gabon: 220 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. One plug type: Plug with two round pins.
Kenya: 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. One plug type - UK type plug with two parallel flat pins with ground pin.
Madagascar: 220 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second (may be 127 Volts in some areas). Two plug types - Plug with three round pins, arranged in a triangle; and plug with two round pins.
Malawi: 230 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. One plug type - UK type plug with two parallel flat pins with ground pin.
Mozambique: 220 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. One plug type: Plug with two round pins.
