About the PL15 LED Laser Safari Torch:
This is an extremely powerful, yet simple torch. It is without hesitation our first choice for taking on our product tests, when we are going on an adventure, and for camping 'rough.' The powerful beam will spot wildlife a long way off, eliminating surprise visits by elephant, hyena and other camp 'visitors' at night. The image on the left shows an elephant which had wandered into camp on a recent trip to Matusadona on the shores of Lake Kariba, in Zimbabwe. While we do not advise our clients to actively seek to shine on elephant at night (or on any diurnal animals), this image does show the benefit having the powerful PL15 on safari with you can have. We therefore recommend the PL15 for more adventurous safaris and for those who will appreciate the power that this compact torch yields. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. As a general rule, LED torches provide superior illumination, are more efficient at using available energy to provide light, are more robust and last longer.
