Long Sleeve shirts are ideal for safaris, as they are very adaptable - roll up your sleeves when too hot, roll down your sleeves for protection from the sun, or when it gets chilly. This is important in ensuring that your child's skin is protected from the sun. In selecting our clothing we looked at the elements that we felt were important once out on the open savanna, or dense tropical forests - or even while travelling to and from your destination: cool & lightweight, yet strong; sufficient pockets, but not too many; quick drying and the ability to wick moisture; and of course a built in SPF factor to protect the wearer from the sun. 'Safari 8' & Rufiji Safari Clothing:
We provided the BBC with expert advice and our Boys & Girls Safari Clothing for the recently aired series, 'Safari 8'. This unique CBBC series follows four British and four South African children as they spend a month training to be game rangers in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The camera and production crew also chose to wear our adult Rufiji safari clothing while on location in the Kruger National Park.
