Features that make this the ideal safari hat for your travels: Australian based Barmah Hats developed the original HAT-IN-A-BAG and the Squashy® - the most versatile and durable travel hats on the market. This Squashy Suede Leather Hat folds in half twice, and comes with its own bag. When you get to Africa simply take the hat out of the bag and it pops back into shape. The leather is soft and so the fit is incredibly comfortable! This hat was also successfully tested on the Bhangazi horse safari in the Isimangaliso Wetlands system, Maputaland, South Africa - you can see an image of the hat worn by Sarah in the Women's Rufiji Safari Clothing section. As with the suede hat, the hat does not come with a neck cord, the fit is so snug and comfortable that even at full gallop the hat did not come off. We think it is because the hat fits perfectly due to the soft leather (without feeling tight at all), and does not resist wind as much as the Canvas Hats.
Caring for this Hat:
1) Please ensure that your hat is not exposed to extreme heat.
2) Cleaning and care products for your leather hat can be purchased at your local shoe repair/care outlet. We recommend that you take your hat with you so that the best product can be determined, depending on the leather of your hat.
